EVERYONE who owns a Motley, can you please check this out???

BCIMorphs Nov 27, 2005 02:58 PM

I have always assumed that ALL Colombian Motleys have a purple patch of scales under their chin... Can everyone who owns a Motley check under the chin to see if they also have it?? It would definitely be interesting to see if Linda's Motleys who produced the supers has the purple patch of scales.. Well, here is a picture of mine from a long time ago, sorry about the Motley strangling. BTW, the purple is much deeper in person, bright lights washed it out. I'm looking forward to finding out what's up with this.. Thanks!

Here's a baby shot...

Here he is with one of his beautiful girlfriends..

Not one of them has an "odd" patch of scales like that under the chin.. Of course there are speckles on plenty of animals, but this is different.. This is the only marking on my motley's belly. A friend of mine has a littermate with the same exact patch of scales in the same spot.. I just thought it was a trademark for Motleys.. But now after seeing Ryan's picture, I guess there are variances.. I'd just like to see what's out there..

He defenitely has some off colored scales under his head. They seem to have a purple tinge but its not as intense as in your example. I took a quick shot (trying not to disturb him too much).
