alright, how would you experts in cage design suggest keeping a 90 gallon pond(complete with water fall) clean? its in a 8 ft x 6 ft x 4 ft cage, home to 2 water dragons.

I was thinking fluval 404s'????? other suggestions?

thanks, j.o.

I think a single Fluval 404 would do just fine. It'll easily handle the water volume you have. The only thing will be determining how long it takes to clog up the filter media - ie. when to break down/clean the filter. I use a Fluval 125 on a small turtle pond that I have and it's worked great for me. With two sub-adult Yellow-bellied Sliders and filtering approximately 25 gallons of water it only needs servicing every month or so. Also, I wouldn't bother with the disposable carbon packs that initially come with the filter. Once those are used up just buy your own carbon in a bulk container and get reusable sock for holding the carbon. Just swap out the carbon each time you service the filter.

i don't like flugal. go with a real canister filter and add an inline uv sterilizer. i asume it's for your water dragons, right?
