What Color is This Snake?

Sunshine Nov 27, 2005 06:16 PM

Is this guy orange, red, brown, or a combination of the choices?

I recently had some folks in total disagreement of the color of the snake in the pics they were looking at. Strangly almost no one agreed with me. Maybe my hope is clouded my sight.

I say organish red. Any opinions?

The bad part is that I previewed that before posting.

"organish"...of or pretaining to the hue of internal organs

Well, there's the problem your going to run into, orange and brown both have red mixed into them, so, that might be why you can't get everyone to agree with you. It's a hard snake to judge, obivously more orange on the top, flowing into a dark red in the middle and then into almost a brown near the bottom, so, I'd almost call it a sunset orange ( you know how a sunset changes colors as you get closer to the horizon?? )

I don't know much about the technical side of it but my personal opinion is that she looks reddish orange. But that is what most of them look like to me. However... I have seen a BRB that was an incredible pale orange. She looked almost the same color as a creamsicle... I have never seen one as light as her before but that to me is what I think of as an orange snake. But like I said... I'm no expert so with me it's all personal opinion.
