Can anyone suggest a calcium supplement for baby sulcata and for torts in general.
Thanks in advance

I use Fluker's Repta-Calcium powder for my Hermanns tortoise but I just noticed their website says to use Fluker's Calcium
hosphorous for tortoises and the Repta-Calcium for turtles. I'll ask this question using a new thread.

Hey Fred,
Thanks for the reply. I will watch the other thread.

Generally you want one that has no phosphorus in it, as most foods are higher in phosphorus than you want. I use Jurrassic calcium for all my animals (leopard geckos, tortoies and box turtle).
Thanks for the info. Do you put it on every meal or how often and do you feed it to babies and adults on the same schedule? What about torts that stay outside most of the year?
Thanks again

My baby hermann's feeding schedule is (hatched june 30th):
Sunday Food with calcium powder on it
Monday No food and one heat light gets turned off
Tuesday Food with calcium powder on it
Wednesday No food and one heat light gets turned off
Thursday Food with calcium powder on it
Friday food with multivitamin powder on it
Saturday Food with calcium powder on it
Of course as he grows this will change, but that is what it is right now, and probably will stay that way for a year or so.
For my adult box turtle he gets calcium powdered food once to twice a week and vitamins once a week. He eats every other day.
My greek was fed indoors with calcium powder twice a week and vitamin powder once a week, skipped feeding a couple days a week. Outdoors I fed her once or twice a week and put calcium powder on it. The rest of the time she ate grass and weeds that were growing.
Thanks for the help. I am always a little gun shy about posting a question on some of these forums. There is always some person out there with no life that loves to shoot down those of us that where not born with this knowledge and need to ask questions. You people have been very willing.
Thanks again
Rick
