reptile safe wood?

tanks get expensive... so i was wondering what wood to use if i decide to stop being lazy and make some enclosures. what kind is good for high humidity if any?

teak..but costly and requires maintenance ( very pretty ), any 3/4 inch plywood finished on one side w/ formica mounted to the other.
Birch - used for wood canoes
any plywood other than cedar or salt treated as long as its finished (smooth) and sealed
