My male's off feed, the female is eating as I write this, and they've spent a lot of time under the paper, but I haven't seen any action. Congrats to you!

How cool do you go with your cycling? We just acquired a real nice adult pair of blackheads. Some of the folks I have been talking to are saying that I should be getting night temps down to the upper 50's/low 60's with normal daytime temps to provide opportunities to thermoregulate. Any thoughts? Nice job.

I wouldn't go down that far. Although it gets pretty chilly in some regions that they're found, they are usually in burrows for that.
However....after seeing my olives mating again last night, I took my female olive to the vet's today with some other minor problem animals, and he thinks it's pregnant. Enlarged uterus, won't feed, midbody swelling, etc. She's 29lbs!

Well, I also think a good cool down is important. Just don't go from summer temps to winter temps suddenly. Look on the net and get some temperature data from within their range. It works for the species out there, so you might assume it'll help in captivity! Some people wouldn't go so cool, but in Australia BHs have been observed mating in even colder temperatures (they're not always tucked away in burrows!).
But, some people don't go so cold and have similar success, so you might just have to see what works for you. There's still alot to learn
Here's a pic from last night of my other pair mating.

I'd also recommend not feeding them if you go too cool. No sense having the meal sit in a cool snake. Not good.
