Hello - I am new to this forum but wish I would have found it 2 years ago!! We have had the pleasure of living with Cosmo and Wanda, our 2 green anoles, for 2 years. Both were a huge part of our family and we were all devestated when Wanda died 2 weeks ago. Cosmo has since been very blah - if an anole can exhibit such behaviour! We see it! In any event we went and purchased another green anole and were told it was 90% a female, but they would not guarantee so. They seem to be getting along fine, but then last night Wilma (as we named her) showed her throat (can't remember what that is called.) It wasn't as large as Wanda's but it had a red coloring to it. So my question is - does that mean that Wilma is actually a Fred?? What other ways can I tell if he is a she or vice versa. We were blessed to have tons and tons of eggs while Cosmo and Wanda were together but were not successful in incubating any. We want to try again and we want Cosmo to be happy. Can we add a 3rd anole if it turns out we have 2 males? Will the 2 males fight? Is Cosmo lonely without a female? Thanks so much for any information anyone can provide. Kindly, Lynn
