Well, I know for a fact that you cant have the pacman with ANYHTING else. No matter what you put in there, it will eat its tankmate(s)
yeah im aware of pretty much all the frogs that arent allowed to go together. my pacman is alone and my whites are together because they are the same size. But what frogs can live together?? i want a tank with a bunch of frogs not just one or a couple of the same sex. I have to many tanks as is haha
mixing species is a bit of a debatable subject. many do not think any 2 species should ever be mixed. i am a little less conservative on this issue. if you do some really good research and find a few species that wont eat eachother (even when full grown), have the same habitat requirements, and can be fed without outcompeting eachother, you should be able to do it. even then all individuals are different and what may work for one person, may not work for others. are you wanting to mix in the whites and something else? or are you thinking of a totally new setup. and i agree, anything that goes in a pacman cage should be considered food for the pacman.
I wholeheartedly agree with the Pacman thing. I had my whites and my pacman in two seperate but shallow bins while I was cleaning the tanks. The white actually leaped into the pacman's bin and landed on his face. Needless to say, the pacman was quite pleased. Luckily, I ran water over the pacman until he let go, and the whites didn't have anything more than very shallow teeth imprints on his face. He's since recovered. I guess the moral of this story is to not even put other things CLOSE to a pacman.
As for things that go together... I'm really interested in this too. Fish hobbyists have aquariums full of diverse aquatic life. Herp enthusiasts should have a vivarium set up full of diverse herps. As far as I know, you can keep some species of tree frog together although it's not recommended. Maybe a tropical turtle or something?
most turtles are too big, and aquatic ones are very predatory. i have heard o fmixtures of geckos, anoles, chameleons, treefrogs, newts, fish, terrestrial frogs, i think thats it. you just have to be careful. use common sense and known habitat requirements to figure out what will probably work.
Yeah, there are definitly many things that can be safely put together. One idea if you have a big tank is, Redeye Tree Frogs, firebelly toads, firebelly newts. If there's enough climbing space, I think green tree frogs might work, too. Everything there stays pretty small, just double check to make sure there isnt a habitat problem. You'd just need a larger water area. I'm a fan of Inverts. If I set that tank up, i'd problem also put in an African Giant Millipede or a Hissing Cockroach or 2.
There are many things that can go together. Too many to list all of.
What do you have in mind? What would you like to keep together?
ya know i have really idea where to start!
i like bigger frogs. fire bellies and dart frogs are kewl but they are so tiny.
Any bigger ones that can go together with different frogs!
O and has anyone had problems with exo terra fogger!
