We'll see about that...I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that yet. Maybe if he's under his rock I will.

leos VERY rarely bite, you really have to entice them to bite you

It's not the biting I'm worried about. I am deathly afraid of reptiles! I have a friend who fed her son's gecko while he was away and while she was putting fresh water in the cage, it crawled on her hand. I'm just afraid I'll panic if that happens to me.

I understand, my mom gets nervouis about hanling them too. but maybe if you slowly introduce yourself to the leo it might help you become less afraid of them. :-]

I used to be like you before getting my first reptile pet-a chameleon about 6 years ago. Heck I was afraid of the insects I have to feed him with. When I saw a loose cricket running around in the house, I would put the dog bowl over it and waited for my husband to catch it. Now crickets, hissers, waxworms, superworms, mealworms, or whatever bugs I just grab it with my hands LOL. You'll get use to holding a leo, they are so soft and their little feet are so cute. At least they don't grab a hold of your finngers like a chameleon does. LOL

My mom was always afraid of reptiles to but after years of bugging her she told me if I paid for everything I could get one. She still doesn't care for my snake but thinks leopard geckos are cute and when I bought a new 20gal for my gecko she even suggested I get a male and breed them. He was delivered to my house just yesterday and I have been trying to keep my mom from disturbing him before he settles in.

For several years I myself was afraid of snakes but always thought all reptiles were intersting animals My dad used to catch snakes and show them to me but I could never bring myself to hold one but eventually curiosity won and I now regularly go looking for reptiles in the 26 acres of forest on my property. Sorry for the long post.

i just hope you TRUELY understand what you did and that you ARE actually sorry in your heart. this forum is an amazing place to get information and lots of us, especially me, were on the brink of not answering your future posts or asking the forum monitor to ban you from this forum. again, this wasn't about the sand issue, but your own self importance that got us all fired up. if its one thing i can't stand, its people believing they are better or know better than others when they have so much to learn. i think the reason lots of us got SO angry was because you did this before in your "I'm not coming on this DUMB forum again cuz you guys think your perfect". i will have to consider the apology because this WASN'T the first time you did this...so it makes me wonder if it is the last time. i hope you understand my position.
