Good luck with it. Hope it works out.

Happy Tails to them and best of breeding blessings to you. Few things will match the sight of those hatchlings emerging from their eggs next June.

Actually it is the sound information from this forum that got me this far with Drymarchon. Several of you have had the patience to help me achieve healthy and now breeding Easterns.

I’m 51 years old and have had snakes for years. Never have I been this happy to see snakes breed. 5 years was a long time.

Wish Old Herper was still around. He had a lot of patience with me…As did a lot of you.

Thanks for you knowledge.

What happened to Old Herper? I hope he's alright... maybe he's just not on KS.com anymore? Just curious...

Again, congrats on your Easterns, I'm very jealous!

It's times like these that I HATE LIVING IN FLORIDA!! Gotta move outta here someday so I can finally keep the critters I love so much...

take care,
Justin

Hopefully this will be a good year for us newbies!

Good luck!

We still have a long way to go and I don’t have much hair left to pull out. Are those Texans breeding or Easterns? NICE!

Next year my female Black Tail will be ready (hope).

Good Luck….we are going to need it.

The Texans are going at it with more gusto. I wasn't going to put the easterns together this year but I couldn't resist with one pair.

As for pulling what's left of your hair out, I'm in the same boat. But it is well known that all the best dry breeders are bald.

If I don't get babies next year I'm shaving what's left off.

Hope things work out well. What size Vision is that, that you have that Black tail in?

Bob.

Dann Dec 02, 2005 08:22 AM

Hi Bob,
That Vision cage is 48”x28”x28”. I have two of them. May not look big but take up one side of my snake room with two other vision cages on top of them. I have sold several smaller visions and upgraded. Still need a couple larger ones. That female Black Tail pictured has already out grown her enclosure and will be next to get a 6’ Vision. She is captive born but has a small anger issue. She has tested my snake handling skills more than once.

How are the Blacks doing? Are you going to breed any of them this next year? You probably have one of the largest collections of Black Milks I know of. Sure miss caring for them but my Indigos and Cribo’s come first. And that is a daily duty here.

Take Care….

BobS Dec 02, 2005 09:28 PM

Hi Dan,

Thanks, I thought that was the size. Blackie is about to go in a Vision #400 (same floor size as your Vision, only 14" high) tonight as a matter of fact along with some of the other big guys. They are doing well, Thanks again. I don't think I'm going to breed this year, maybe next. I'd rather be patient and have a healthy large animal without worrying about binding. The female is even darker than before.

I settled on Vision #400s for the adults. Seems to be working great. Lots of room!

My best to you on your breeding efforts.

Bob.
