Who makes the best BP cage?

horned_frog_guy Nov 29, 2005 07:42 PM

...for a single adult female BP? and what size in inches is suitable (LxWxH)

I've looked at:
Boaphile (my second choice)
Herpcages.com (cheaper than Boaphile, but not as nice IMO)
AnimalPlastics (my favorite thus far...check out the T3)
Vision (these look like junk IMO)
Neodesha (out of business, pricey)

So what do you think?

We seem to have this discussion on a regular basis. I've only been here for a month or so, and I think I remember hearing it already at least once. I'm too new to the hobby to have strong opinions one way or the other. Because I'm new, I don't mind hearing all of the points again because they give me another chance to learn. However, I can see where some of the experienced people who've been here for a while might not want to jump into the discussion again. I'd guess that that's why they haven't responded to your post. You might try searching the forums for some of the past discussions if you haven't done so already.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

I think - most people here either are rack or aquarium people - I don't think there are a lot of cage people here - I may be wrong - but it doesn't seem like there are a lot of people that use those for balls - may be why you didn't get an answer. I have an arboreal cage for my GTP from herpcages that I love but can't tell you one way or another on any of the others - buy whatever you like best - I beleive any of them will get the job done.

Your snake should be able to stretch out without having to overlap itself either around the cage or from corner to corner - 3 feet is good for an adult ball.
