Depends on how much you feed it. I have heard of retics growing 9ft in a year. I do not know how healthy that is but they grow fast.

I have a male super tiger that I have had a year so far and is 6 ft, he was around 2 or 3 ft when I bought him, and that is feeding him once a week. Just a little comparision my female burm I fed every three days for a while when I got her was only that long in a year. Much thicker though.

How much smaller are males compared to females? Is their temperment different? What is the average adult size for a female and a male?

Thanks
Nicolas

Males are genarally smaller than females. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but males are 12ft to 16ft avg and females I want to say are 14ft to 18ft. I could be off on that though.

Females, Males does not really matter with tempermant, it depends on where you get the snake from and some would say the type of retic. Tigers and Super Tigers are from what I have been told the tamer ones but can get bigger. I have heard Yellow Heads can be skidish, but it depends on how much you work with it and where it came from. I got my Super Tiger from a Reptile store and it came to them from AL and Cindy, he is very tame out of his cage. You will learn whats it like when you hold one.
I am no pro and only been doing herping for three years but this is what I have noticed and what people have told me before I got my Retic. I would have to say I like him the best.

There is no clear answer here. There is so much that depends on growth rate. Here are a few things that come to mind: 1) Locality from where its bloodline originates. 2) The amount of foot that is fed and how often. 3) Is it a male or female? Males of the same locale do not get as large as the females. 4) Genetics. This usually goes along with #1 but not always.

These are not listed in any particular order. I hope this helps.

I owned a male that passed the 9' mark in about a year. I fed him a varied diet of f/t mice, rats, poultry, guinea pigs and rabbits (one large meal every 10 - 14 days).
