Congrats to your student. Cornell is a great place for herpetology. When she arrives, she should check out the Cornell Herp Society. They sponsor seminars and take trips to zoos and to do field herping.

The Ithaca area has numerous local parks, private land trusts and DEC property for hiking and herping.
