I hope that person doesnt ever have kids.

"purchest".....thats amazing

possibly the person is a kid? "perchest" was not their only grammar error. Without going back to it I remember they asked "wear?"

While we might assume only the most mature and upstanding of citizens would have a question about snakes...some of us would be surprised to learn children share an interest in this stuff too!

At least they had the common sense to realize antivenin was necessary for keeping venomous snakes. I assume they were given some great advice and a harsh awakening.

To add to what Gavin said, it could be a kid who is doing a report on venomous snakes....HOWEVER, he or she should have identified himself as doing that so that people can help. In this case, it sounds like someone who doesn't get out of their cave very often.

I should have added that he is reported (in profile) to be 30 years old person in advertising. With the grammar displayed, I seriously doubt it.

If it was just a kid trying to get information for a school project, why not just ask. We always bend over backward to help minds, young or old, obtain pertinent information on Venomous issues. This is the most important reason why we are here, to pass on accurate information to anyone seeking it.

On the other hand, it is not uncommon to see questions by the "Thrill Seeking, Macho Crowd" that thinks these are just cool pets to stroke their egos. The fact they had to ask the question in the first place, means they most likely are not good candidates at this time to keep venomous snakes.

Cheers!

I just try to take caution in my critique of comments. I am aware there are children reading in here and I hate to put any of them down during their learning process. I also try and be a little carefull and consider some people might have a cognitive disability or english may not be their first language.

On the aspect of thinking a child should just ask the question and identify they are a student or "whatever"... With current issues involving the dangers in the internet children are constantly being reminded of them. With this in mind I fully understand why a child would not include their name or any kind of reference to them being as young as they are.

Just some stuff I try and keep in mind.

Always a pleasure to read your posts AL and I enjoy the photos. Sorry if my post seemed out of line. I also do not think the person is a professional in the field of advertising

Death adders are amazing aren't they (I think Rob Carmichael should have one at his facility)

Hi Gavin:

No worries mate. I just needed a bit more explaination. I wish we had "edit functions" so we could append and or fix a post. I would never pour water on anyones passion for snakes, just try and inject a bit reality into it. These are serious animals with serious concequences if a bite occurs.

The Death Adder is Acanthophis laevis out of my friend Dans collection. That species I think are the best looking Death Adders outside of Austrailian main land species.

This is a quote from the news item about the 2.25m habu that has a link down in "reptile news"

"Some scientists have said habu snakes can grow no longer than 225.7 centimeters because of their spinal structure. That would mean this snake had achieved nearly the maximum possible length."

Yeah.....the spinal structure is longer...duh.

the only saving grace about his question is that he didn't ask where he could get the antivenin 'cheep' or free.
