Thermal Burn Question

ChristianC Nov 29, 2005 11:59 PM

I just recieved an male adult anery sold to me with what was described as "two small scabs". What should be done with a burn wound like this? Seems like a really nice boa otherwise.

I clean it with hydrogen peroxide and keep neosporin on it. Make sure it doesn't get infected. You should see it getting better with each and every shed.

Make sure to keep on an eye on him for stuck sheds too.

Best of luck...

I read that burns heal very slowly, is this the case?

Burns, from my past experience heal slowly and the snake has to shed a few times before its fully healed. Just like supplereptiles said , Just keep it clean, keep neosporin on it, keep an eye on it , and after a few shed it will heal .
