can i use any flouresent lamp fixture, becuase my dad has a barrel full of these nice stainless steal fixtures and he's gong to throw them away,he has ones that hold 18" 24" a big long double 18" and another size i forgot, so can i use these?

i think that would be fine, it wont get too hot either bc flourescent lights are only like 15 watts or so. I have a vision cage with a strip light and a heat lamp, but if you are using a tank with a screen lid just make sure that it stays hot enough. Good luck!
