looking to heat a tank for a green trree python i was told that i should use heat pad or tape on a thermostat can i make one and what are the best ones to buy also how do i set that system up

I've always seen basking light during the day with a day time temp of 82-84ish and then a UTH at night maintaining it around 75ish. Doing it that way simulates how things are in the wild. Sun from the top during the day, the suns energy given off from the ground at night.
