.. there is such a thing as a 'perfect' Boa.. too many different looks and people have their own ideas of what makes a Boa pretty..

I photographed this adult male Peru snake just now, he was born and raised here.. now just at 7 feet long. It might make it near the top of a lot of lists for beautiful boas.. and it has the Peru characteristics I look for.. lean, tall body, fabulous color and crisp pattern, high grey tone to the laterals and a sharp profile to the head... plus a good red tail.

it seems many Peruvians have that nice single track down the back, whereas the Suri's sometimes have the 2 faded tracks...hmm.

I'm curious about their temperments in general. As a whole, are they more/less fiesty than other BCC's, BCI's. I know it depends on the individual Boa, but also some groups will tend to show more/less aggresion.-------Thanks, David
