Some 04 female BP's

mingdurga Dec 01, 2005 11:10 AM

Here are some pix of some of my 04 females. The other two are my twins (no pix shown) which are over the 1000 gram mark.
Had 2 males, 4 females in 04, in addition to my 4.2 hatched out in 05.
Hope to buy the big freedom breeder rack system one day to house my growing BP collection in an upright position, instead of sideways and every which way.
All 6 feeding on med. df rats off the forceps.

Just wondering what other breeders do with all the extra males? Especially normals since everyone wants to stock up on the girls.

Enjoy the pix.

I sold mine to a pet store for $40 each.

I got screwed then. I only get $15 each for males. But, either way, they are sent out as pets, so they get a good home.

I let my first extra male go(hatched a high female count!:D)for $25 not to long ago.Next time it will be $35(Had to get my foot in the door first though.)
I made the referance that cbb were better than ch...but it didn't matter...the difference was obvious to her(her words).(Apparently they had gotten a bad one...it was "put up,in the back".)

BP's are banned in NYC because the NY Herp Society were the only "expert" advice the health dept. sought.
NY State passed a law that allows all pythons that don't go beyond the 8' measure. This same law was supposed to take effect in NYC also till the "experts" got involved.

If they were allowed there is no way I would sell anything living to PetCo or Petland Discounts.
