Whaere is a good and low/reasonible priced place to get an adult female that is 50%, 60%, 100% or homo Albino BP? I NEED an adult female that at least has a chance of producing an albino with my lil male 100% albino, but I need her to be 1000 grams. Albino or 100% preferred, but poss. hets will do. Thanks! It is very unlikely that someone would be wanting to sell a breeding age adult het albino female. Why, they sell males right? A breeding female het will produce(maybe this season) triple the revenue of just selling her. Unless a breeder is getting out of the business, and liquidating their collection, it is unlikely they would ever get rid of all the potenial albinos that could be produced by the female.

You could probably find someone willing to sell you an adult het female but I doubt she would be cabable of producing offspring.

I know I have been looking for weeks, just trying not to get ripped off, I am thinking of just getting a baby albino female and letting her grow THEN breed her, but I am taking a chance looking for an adult so I can have mini albinos sooner.

Krystal, why not pick up a pair, or even a trio of het albino females, for the same price as the albino female, and have the potential to get loads of hets and a few albinos?............

I REALLY want an adult albino, or het, or poss het. If I can't I might just buy a 100%er baby girl or a albino baby, I like the visual, then I KNOW I am not getting ripped off, but either way I only have room for 1 more right now, and I am broke really.

Have you been offered any adult proven het albino females at any price (reasonable or not)? I might have to sell my one and only and I have no idea what the going rate is. I'm thinking she is worth a lot to me to keep but I'm not sure that's the same as what someone would pay for her.

Albinos and Ghosts are comparable in pricec correct?? well I have seen proven adult female ghosts for $800-$1000. I can get a het. albino baby girl for $700 or less. What do you get from that. after the $700 all you are paying for is time and the proven, but the chance that they won't prove out isn't all that significant, most will breed, but proven IS a wonderful thing. I figure $1000 is a reasonible amount and would pay that to someone I trust. But I could be WAY off, I have never been offered one at any price.

Ghosts and Albinos are nowhere close to being similar in price, ghosts are $750-1200 for males and $1500+ for females, and this is for babies. You may find lower prices for CH Vs. CB ghosts, but not by much. It all depends on the look too, some ghosts are just ugly, and will be cheaper. Albinos are $2200 or so for males and $2400+ for females, again, for hatchlings.

If you are broke, why are you looking?

The ghost in this pick will breed next year, she is 1400 grams, and I would not sell her for less than $3500. And no, she is not for sale.

I was talking hets. and there is some variance, yes, but compair het. albinos to het. pieds, BIG difference. I was trying to find something CLOSE and ghosts are the closest I could think of.

I am broke AFTER one adult female het or poss het albino. I only have so much and have already invested $1000 into BPs and supplies in the past 2 weeks!

A Thousand bucks for a proven het albino female? I still wouldn't sell it to you even if you showed up on my front door step naked carrying a six pack and a pizza. Sorry Krystal, you're going to have to do it the hard way just like the rest of us.

My male albino has been taking his sweet time growing, and I was seriously thinking about selling one of my het albino females, 1200 grams, CB Sharp line. I talked to some people and got talked into keeping her, which I am glad I did, the male is pounding rats for me now, but I would not have even considered less than $2500 for her.

For that I would buy an albino female, not a het. and get the chance to ALREADY have the morph, AND produce them! Givin I would have to wait, but I think my time is not limited, I can wait if I had to pay that much! I woulden't pay the same amount for a Het. as a true albino from a "BIG" breeder! Sorry.

I think the main thing to learn from this post is effect that age will have on the value of a python. There is a HUGE difference in the value of a snake that will be producing babies THIS year and the value of a snake that will be producing babies 2-3 years from now. You know how fast python morph prices can drop. Luckily, the ball morphs depreciate at a lower rate than most rare python morphs. This is mostly due to smaller clutch sizes.

Ideally, the most economical way for you to produce albinos is breeding single albino males to groups of (cheaper) het females. For the cost of one female albino you could buy 3 or more hets. Bred to an albino male this route could possibly get you 3 times the albinos that could be produced by a single female albino.

Some advice...start with babies and get as many het females as you can afford. A year and a half later you could buy an albino male (it will be cheaper then) and the male and females should hit maturity at roughly the same time. With a lot effort and a little bit of luck you will see your first albino pip.

LOL like I said, I have NO Idea what it is worth, I am willing to pay what it is worth, it was just a guess, since I can get a female het. for $700 -/ I figured all I am paying for is time, what is the time worth to the seller? I don't know, but if they want to offer I am here!
