as it maybe, i was out today dropping off extra rat breeders to a pet shop, im pretty well known in that shop as when i was raising birds this guy always was happy to buy birds from me, now his son has taken over the business..... and as we were sorting rats, we were also chatting he was asking me about my snake collection... after getting done he told me to hold on for a sec, he came back with a little amel hatchling, whom he told me the snake wouldnt eat, hadnt eaten in weeks.... even refused live prey.... and he asked me if i would be interested in taking the little guy home, i asked "for how much".... he put the snake in a little cloth bag and said take him, here if we cant get them to eat they die off, maybe if you take him he will be ok....the snake was in a small critter keeper with news paper and a water dish, he had no where to move more less nor no where to hide, i asked him about all of that and he explained that was how they were trying to get the snake to eat....
any way i brought the snake home, setup a 10 gallon tank, with all the furnishings, water dish, 2 hides, a heat pad and aspen substrate, put the snake in and left him alone while i checked the other snakes whom have still not eaten..... but about 630 i thawed a pinkie mouse, put it in a deli cup and put the little guy in the cup, the mouse was gone before i could set the cup in the tank..... so right now he is doing pretty good.
ill be posting photos soon of all the snakes

Why do I never get lucky like that? Good luck with him! Also, grey rats are located on the east coast and are just that...GREY RATS. I have heard they are mean and picky eaters and I have also heard they are just like most other obsoletus, pretty docile and great eaters. I would think they would be the latter. But am definately no expert!
