Meg is acting like a Cobra again.......... Why do they do this?????

VolcomHerp Dec 01, 2005 11:39 PM

It makes me laugh a little, when I always catch Meg in this stance while I get her out to have some outside fun in the sun. She likes staying in the postion a good amount of time, and I've noticed she really doesn't flick her tongue at all. Then she'll start on the move agian while flicking her tongue like crazy! I guess what I trying to ask is has anyone ever noticed the funny things your snakes do that make you chuckle to yourself..
take care,
Jake

My balls do that all the time when they're outside. Always seemed to me that they were just tryin' to get a better looksee.

Mind you, this is just what I've heard and read over the years. Stargazing looks more like they are looking up, not out, into the sky. They may also twist their heads up from the floor so that they are looking straight into the sky. What you are seeing in these pics in the forum is just them raising up to get a better look at their surroundings. Hope this helps.

Haha. I have a hatchling white sided black rat that does that pose all the time. not too sure why, but my wife gets a kick out of it. Spends half the day by her tub going "where's my little cobra"
