First I wish to thank many of you for your valuable advice and support, unfrotunately, it is with tears on my cheeks, that I must report that Styx (named for the River Styx because she'd been to Hell) finally succumbed to her secondary infections. She was the one who had been badly burned and malnourished by her previous owners. the vet gave me little hope from the beginning (March) and was suprised she did as well as she did. Last night, while enjoying some quiet time together, she breathed her last. She was a real sweetie and is deeply missed. Everyone I have encountered on this list seems to be very responsible pet owners, but please spread the word...People need to do their homework BEFORE getting any new pet. There is too much tragedy out there.

I am sorry for your loss--I know it's little consolation, but you did everything you could to make her life better while you had her. She knew it too.
