I just received my postal scale for weighing my snakes, and I checked my California King tonight. He's about 38 to 40 inches long and weighs 315 grams. I know that people over here don't talk about weights as much as the ball python people do, but I'm wondering what others think of this length and weight. Would you consider this to be the sign of a healthy snake? I've had him about six or seven weeks now. I fed him fuzzies and pinkies at first because that's what the pet store fed him. On nearly everyone's advice, I've moved him up to adult mice, and he seems happy with the move. He's an aggressive eater and doesn't seem to have any problem taking the adults. A few weeks ago, we had a thread about people feeding baby quail to kingsnakes. I'm considering getting some frozen baby quail and alternating them with the mice. I'd think that kingsnakes in the wild would grab a few baby quail if they had the chance. What do others think?
Thanks,
Bill

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.
