This Forum is very poor...

macajuel Dec 02, 2005 01:20 PM

Not for nothing but i wrote 2 posts requesting help and no one here ever responded or tried to help. This goes to show how much peolple are willing to help each other. If i knew the answers to other people questions i would gladly repond when i have the time to. I write in other forums and i am responded very fast almost as if i were sending an instnat message. Here i am asking a simple newbie question and get no help. Maybe in over reacting and maybe there aren't much people in this forum but i would be clueless if i saught help from this forum. I thought that this is what these forums are for, to help and discuss. any way I hope i haven't offended those who try to respond to the questions they have the answer to but i just needed to let this one out. As for those who have the answers or help its a shame. Any way, feel free to respond to this email with antagonizing responses as i know i will get because it is only in human nature to do so.

As is human nature to expect immediate gratification. Geez -- why don't you be patient. Folks don't answer right away sometimes. Some may not even know what to tell you so they don't respond. Some (like myself) don't get a chance to get on the lists very often.

I'll go back and look at you posts and see if I can answer them but you just put one on yesterday. What do expect? People just lurking around waiting for a post so that they can answer it?
Chill out man.

always try and do there best to help. It is a very slow time right now with the holidays approaching, have to be patient.

Sometimes a post slips by, just re-post and be kind, and someone will try and help you.

Your right there is not alot of info on these cool geckos, but below is a link atleast addressing the MAIN points of care, such as temps, housing, and such. If I find a better care sheet while traveling around, I will post it for you!

Hope this helps somewhat,

Spotted Geckos

Thats what it is all about the lizards, and how to better care for them.

And becoming Buddies, that can share info, teach , learn, enjoy photos, and be KIND to one another in the process.

** And I think we all JUST accomplished that, AWESOME !

Like I said, GLAD to have ya with us!

dumb or something? of course i'll post some pictures for you
checked out your site today eve, you have some absolutely GORGEOUS collared lizards. i have never seen the goldish and black collared lizards.
that gravid picture of one of your females displaying the bright orange/red bands is also very nice. i saw a gravid female almost exactly like her when i was at the petrified forest in arizona over the summer on vacation.
i desperately wanted to catch her and take her home, but there was a 250 dollar fine if you were caught taking anything out of the park ( and they did a search on the way out, so it's a good thing i didn't take her)
anyways, great lookin animals, and i'll try to get some pictures of the henkeli on monday

Certainly NOT dumb, NEVER ! Thanks fo rthe kind words, those pretty collareds are just born BEAUTIFUL,

Be waiting on the uro forum for the new henk pics!

Dude, sometimes you just have to have some patience. You never know when someone who only visits the board infrequently and never posts will pop in and have some info for you.

Thats what its here for.

Dont come and ask newbies questions anyway. Buy a good book or even the cheap ball python manual. That book still taugh me more than anything other than experience.

80% of the people here get the answers they post from a book anyway. Every few actually have any experience at all.
