Do the eyes on this 05 female hypo het anery look odd to anyone?
Christian

they look odd to me .. and the head seems to narrow very drastically at the nose, although this could just be due to the angle of the picture.
I just got her last week. I fed her a small mouse and she took it like a pro. Seems to be in perfect health. I just thought the eyes looked very different from any of my other boas.

my snakes pretty much have their pattern flow through the eye. this makes the eye almost divided color wise in half from top to bottom. that snake appears not to have this division. reguardless it looks neat.
i wouldn't worry about the eyes at all, a lot of het anery's seem to have that coloration...
i would, however, be kinda concerned about the shape of the snout... do you have any side/above shots?? and about the "camera" comment, if it were the camera distorting the image, it would typically make something closer to the camera look larger... i'd be interested to see some side shots of the snake...

Here are a couple of other pics. Tell me what you think.

i knew that things closer would look larger, just didnt think out the thought thuroughly.
however i didnt know that het anerys tend to have this color eyes, which is a helpful thing to know if workign with possible het anerys.
lastly the additional pics dont help so much since they are pretty much side shots, if an above head shot was taken that would probably be the best to determine if in fact somethingr eally is abnormal.
Here is a shot from above. Does everything look ok?

Thank you. She seems to be a great snake. I wasn't to worried about the shape of her head. I'm just glad there is nothing wrong with her eyes.

The color is something seen in hypos and other morphs.. the bulging is common in Central American Boas.. they have that buggy / bug-eyed look.. some protrude so far they look like they are popping out of their heads!
Thanks, Joe

Wow, thanks for posting the picture of the father! Very cool snake! Would happen to have a picture of the mother also? I had never seen eyes like that.. not worried, but was wondering if it was normal. Thanks again. I'm VERY happy with her!
Christian
Silver eyes. That's cool.
