Tips for winter shipping??

Dragonstale Dec 02, 2005 05:33 PM

I was wondering if anyone had any tips/hints for shipping dragons in the winter. I was successful at shipping babies in home-made insulated boxes this summer, but am worried about the cold weather. I bought some 40 hour heat packs and have heard it must be above 30' for them to work. I have 3 juvie females that I wanted to raise, but with a new job I don't have time for them anymore. I just want them to have a safe trip, so any advice would be appreciated. Here are some pics of them.

Thank goodness I found someone locally to take them, now I don't have to worry about shipping.

Finding a local purchaser certainly is best during colder months. However, for furture reference I have included a link that is very good on describing how to insulate reptiles for shipping in potentially cold weather. It isn't good for extreme cold conditions but it does have alot of useful information.
