Update: Rex visits the Vet

ChaoticCoyote Dec 02, 2005 06:26 PM

We took Iguanasaurus Rex to the vet today. His weight loss is due to a nasty intestinal infection -- just as I had guessed -- and he also had a skin infection. For the former, we have oral antibiotics, and for the later, a topical skin cream. I'll be taking him back on Monday for a check-up.

The cost: just under a $100.

If you live in Pinella County, Florida, I highly recommend Noah's Place in north St. Petersburg. They handle every species, from dogs and cats to lizards and monkeys; the staff was kind and friendly -- and they have people available 24/7.

Good to hear it is something that can be taken care of.

Good luck and keep us posted.
