Buddy is doing GREAT

debs1018 Dec 02, 2005 10:20 PM

Haven't been on here in a LONG time. Sorry about that. I have been very busy with everything in my life. Just want to let you know that Buddy is still doing good and is a very happy uro. He has gained a lot of weight and eats really good. Some of you don't know his story but to make it a short story then I will give you back round. I got him from a reptile show and he was on death door. Had to hand feed him. Mostly force feed and then he slowly regained his health. Thevet thought he would and should of died but he was a lucky one and is still here today.
Well I just wanted to say hi to the people who remembers me and Buddy. Hope everyone has great holidays
(this is a old picture I don't have a recent one of him sorry)

I love it when all you guys post pictures of your healthy uros! It's just awesome to see so many out there caring enough to keep them healthy, or doing everything in their power to get them healthy.

A local shop finally sold a female (I think) mali that was severely overpriced and had been there for a very long time. I'd been checking up on it whenever we'd go in for fish over the last 1.5 years and she always looked healthy and in a satisfactory enviroment. The other day she was gone, and fearing the worst, I asked if she got sold. After confirmation that she was sold, I asked if they confirmed that the buyers were experienced with uros, and they said they were. I just love it when people who are ready and able take in these guys. It kills me to think of those who aren't ready for the responsibility of having and caring for a uro and the loser in the end is the innocent reptile.

*Steps down from soapbox*

Keep up the great herping guys and gals!
