There can be many reasons for someone wanting to sell a proven breeder. Here is a couple examples. Say you got a group of 2.2 anythings, you raised them and bred them and had them for a couple years and realize you want to open a cage for something else, some will think that they dont need 2 males anymore,as 1 will dot he job,and maybe move that male. Or someone has 2 albino females. They produced soem really nice oens from them and kept a female or 2 back.Raised them and they are ready to breed,so in order to make room for them they move out one of the other breeders. As nice as it would be to keep every nice snake you have-(as most all snakes are nice looking) people dont have the room for all that. But dont get me wrong. It does happen with people selling adults for reasons other than just making room. I'm sure there are people out there who will sell an adult snake with a problem,or a something along those lines. That is just something you have to take into account when purchasing a snake. That is why its best to buy from knowledgeable people and be knowledgeable yoruself when buying a new snake. Ask questions, lots of them if you have to. But dont be turned away from buying adult proven breeders,as you can get some very nice snakes that way,and if your looking to breed them quicker than raising them from babys, thats a way a lot of people go. I also think its best to raise up your own snakes though.Buy as babys, that way you knwo everything that goes on with them, you get to know them really well. As you would to with an adult snake if you keep it for years. Hope this helps some.Sorry for any typos, its late,

Here is the deal for me. I have a full-time job and because of that I limit myself to a maximum of 100 snakes. Every year with my special projects I end up keeping about 15 holdbacks for future breeders. So for me that means that roughly 15 other snakes have to go and that usually means breeders or sub-adults that were going to be breeders. I've already sold 6 adult breeders this fall and have about 10 more to sell.
Also people's interest changes. My first love was rosy boas in the mid 1990's, then in the late 1990's I had to have a pair of everything LOL, then my interest went to cal kings. So because of these reasons I have sold LOTS of proven breeders.

Kerby...
You have to do your research. I'm selling some proven breeders to make more time for other things in life......like my fiance. There are good and bad...you just have to know who it is your dealing with. Good luck.
