I've got a couple of crimp tools from when I use to make all my computer cables. It's not necessary to use these to attach the flexwatt connectors. In fact, I've never used them. I've always used vise grips, a small piece of heat shrink tubing, and the plastic covers. Works fine and I've never had a problem with the connection.
