kennny Dec 03, 2005 03:35 AM

Hi everyone, i was hoping for a little advice. i've just built a new stack of viv's measuring 100cm x 50cm x 50cm each (3 high) and wanted to change my existing red bulb set ups to ceramics. what size/ watt ceramic bulbs should i go for to heat these tanks and which are the best/prefered make? also any recommendations on the pulse stats?

many thanks,

kenny

Bulbs and ceramic heaters tend to "fry" the air making it real hard to keep the humidity up. Have you thought about using heat tape or one of those under the tank heat mats?

Just tossin' it out there....

Hi, yes use to use heat mats but did'nt get along with them - i had i case of burning and found that they only really offered surface tempature and did'nt heat the air so well.

many thanks,

Kenny
