Will Hayward - silkworms in Canada

lele Dec 03, 2005 04:33 PM

Hey Will,

I was catching up on my reading below and you mentioned not having access to silkies in Canada. Here is a site for you. I have no idea about their pricing, reputation or anything, I just know they exist

Oh, Silkworms are easy to find. They are just way to expensive to use as a feed. I have 1000 eggs waiting to hatch, but its been a while, I am wondering if there is something wrong.

Thank you for thinking of me though. The only thing affordable is crickets and mealies. However... A new supplier of silkworms has started, or will start soon, importing supplies from a california company. The owners are becoming freinds of mine and are helping me have some rare chameleons come accross the border. They would probably give me a little discount if I kept buying from them constantly.

Over the next year, I will be... expanding. You should all understand on April 21st.

Ok, got it, just figured since they were already in canada the shipping, etc. would be cheaper. Is the chow more affordable to feed them? You might be able to get just the chow from here - anyway, I am sure you have looked into it all. Look forward to your "expansion!"

btw, did you know your link just brings you to kingsnake forum home? ;-O
