Day 53 of incubation.........>>>>

Cleopatra Jul 23, 2003 01:28 PM

no babies, but they must be getting close since the eggs are HUGE, even bigger than the first 2 eggs so i am really hopeful that they are gonna hatch out fine....the wait is killing me!!!
but i have a problem, we are going away this weekend and i am afraid the babies will hatch while we are away. we will be gone for 3 days. i am not sure if the babies can last that long in the incubator??? if they don't hatch by then, should I get a bigger container with hair holes in the lid (damp perlite on the bottom) and move the eggs into there for the weekend???

i know breeders who leave their babies in the incubator until it's first shed...yes i would place those eggs carefully into their own container with air holes and they should be fine...im SURE you'll find babies when you come back
