a few questions about gray treefroglets

treefrogger May 18, 2003 04:49 PM

my 2 gray treefroglets are about 1 inch long. they eat well and act normal except that they can't climb up the glass in their tank. is this normal for young treefrogs? I know that they are gray treefrogs because the have golden orange back legs. also they are never gray. they are always some shade of brown even at night. is this also normal.

When I raised my grays from tads some couldn't really climb up the glass because they were a little chubby and thier legs were not the strongest, they are fine. As far as color, I have two that are green all the time and one smaller one that is always brownish-gray, as long as they are eating they should be ok. What are the temps? Some of the froglets I had were always brown, some always green. 70*-75*F is good. Also what size tank is it, describe set-up?

temperature is in the mid 70's and the tank size is a thirty gallon tall. i have one planted potho plant and one large piece of grape vine. they spend most of there time in the water bowl.

My grays had not problem climbing, but I had them in a critter carrier that does not have 90 degree walls. Make sure you giving them vitamin / mineral supplements.
