Question about Yellow Heads

Rottenweiler9 Jul 23, 2003 01:36 PM

Hello, to any one that has one, I have a few questions, I was reading that they do not get as big as normal retics? Is this true. And how are there dispositions, I know, that it depends on lots of things but for those who have them the majority and sizes. I was looking at getting a male but want to hear some peoples thoughts. Otherwise its a dwarf tiger.

Well the morph "Yellow-Head" is a little more complacated then that. There are normal main land yellow-heads that will get the size of a normal adult retic, there are Sulywasi (excuse the spelling) yellow-heads that are known for growing HUGE, and there are dwarf yellow heads that are called "Bali Yellow-Heads" this is the form you are probaly thinking of....they are a smaller verson of the main land yellow-head they are from Bali (hence the name Bali yellow heads) and i have seen females max out at around 14' they are not a ture dwarf they do get a good size. And as far as there temerpmate goes for years they were almost always WC or farm raised babies being offered for sale so they werent the ideal pet snake. Over the years people have been captive breeding them and your luck of haveing a "tame" pet would be much greater. If this is your first retic maybe a nice Jampea Dwarf would be ideal for you. These are nice looking retics that dont reach the giant size of the normal retics. Hope this is of some help to you. Take Care
