Hi,
My Brother-in-law found this little snake in the skimmer of his swimming pool this morning near Augusta, Ga. I'm in Tennessee, so I haven't seen the snake. As a guess I would guess it's a northern water snake, but I really dunno...

Look smore like a Dekay snake to me, harmless eats slugs and worms not a water snake. Do you have a head shot?

Interesting...
I'm fairly familiar with dekay's snakes but never saw one before with such well defined markings. If I could have seen the snake myself I might have recogniosed it though.
