Okay well Python brongersmai is the "Red blood" python and only real blood python. When people talk about Sumatrans and Malyasains they are refering to the same species just local.

Rich Crowley wrote this in a past post:
P. brongersmai is the only true "blood" and then only around 25% of the brongersmai are really red. The rest are yellow and brown. These are found primarily on the islands of Malaysia, Sumatra and some nearby islands.

As far as I know NO there isn't a difference. I have heard that true Malyasains can have more attitude but I don't know for sure since I have sumatrans.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply .

Okay no I don't believe you can always tell by coloring. I have heard that Malyasians are sometimes brighter in red but I don't know this for sure (Sorry).
