porter Dec 04, 2005 07:03 PM

vmy water is soapy. i kust added aquarium gravel(rinsed) to my turtle tank and, for the first time, applied Vitashell to my turtle "Soup"s shell. could it be either of those two things? let me know, thanks.

I would take out all the gravel. I don't use gravel in most of my tanks.
What type of filter are you using?
That turtle block is also a waste of money

What ype of turtle?
It is probably from the vita shell. Don't use the vita shell anymore, it is a waste of money anyway. If you are properly caring for your turtle, you don't need that stuff.

I have a whisper 10 filter, a female RES, and i ws using the vitashell because i got the turtle from a family who did NOT properly take care of her. I just got it as a precausionary measure. The soapy bubbles have decreaed dramatically. I think it was the vitashell, as well. thanks

a high phosphate situation on the "soapy " part. The residue from anything ( vita shell ) could of caused it.
