i just got a euro and the vet told me i need to give him lots of protien what should i give him he is probably 1 month old 3 in long please help

Your vet obviously doesn't know anything about uros. They are basically vegetarians, their diet comprised of high quality greens. Giving them an occasional insect won't hurt them, but a diet high in protein will eventually lead to their demise. What kind of uro is it? Is it wc or cb? What is the svl and weight? Try going to www.deerfernfarms.com and reading their caresheet. It is loaded with information to help get you on the right track with your new uro. Good luck to you.
