vent to tail length......

Is this a very reliable method for sexing balls. I guess I would still have it probed but when acquiring older snakes from someone who doesn't know, would this be fairly accurate?

No... Not an accurate method at all with ball pythons! Either probe it or pop it... better yet, both.

doesn't work......

.I read that the males have longer tails........

yet my opinion is that males have shorter tails......at least alot of times....

long ago saw a friend's big balls....one had a 2 1/2 inch tail and one had like a 5 inch tail plus.........I said.....male was longer....he said I hope not..that's the one that laid the eggs..

.......it works on corns usually and ratsnakes....but not milks, kings, balls, etc
