If you look closely you can see that the background was blacked out in photo shop or something similar.
It was probably just a quick job. The "lumps" are just areas where the black background and the snake weren't blended smoothly.
At least that is how it looks to me.
I like to "blackout" backgrounds on occaision.

Sooooo... I was wrong AGAIN...............LOL
I looked at it a lot more closely, blew up the pic, and it appears the snake is on a dark blue background. Not a photoshop blackened background.
I do believe those are lumps.
Not good.
Looks like fatty deposits to me.

hi

I was just wondering if they are kinks or fat deposits from over feeding or maybe something else.

If they are kinks you shouldnt breed it.

Lovely corn though.

what are kinks?

>>what are kinks?

hi
kinks are deformations of the spine and the genetics can be passed on to the siblings if you were to breed a corn with kinks.

yea, actually it is fat, i kinda over fed him in the past & now im feeding him less & giving him exsersice.

CherylBald Dec 13, 2005 10:52 AM

That's good that you have it on a better feeding regiment but don't expect the fat deposits to ever go away comepletely. I have to say tho, those lumps look more like kinks or spinal fractures from the pic. If you plan to breed it, prehaps you could have a vet do some xrays to check it out first.

Why is your snakes tail so beat up, and the scales look like they are going to fall off. Also throughout the body other scales look a little beat up. Those "fat deposits" dont look to healthy for the snake if thats what they really are and not a parasite. Just hope the snake is healthy. Good luck

When fat deposits are large enough to disrupt the cylindrical shape of a snake, the scales have begun to spread away from each other. Also, fat tends to accumilate evenly. That tail does look rather strange. I would tend to think that there is something wrong with your snake.
