Triple wide baby !

Keith Hillson Dec 06, 2005 02:07 PM

Took a couple pics of one of the Eastern Kings I got from Will Still last week. This one wasnt the most colorful but after checking em out for a week its my favorite. His bands seem to glow as underneath the wash of orange its a bright butter yellow color.

Very Nice keith.

If it retains the colours it should turn out a stunner.

I dont think that snake will hold onto any of its orange except maybe in trace amounts. He will still be a nice bright light yellow at the very least. Here is one that will hold onto some orange into adulthood. This is a sib to the above animal and is a female.

Hey Zee

I have 2.1 hatchlings and 1.1 adults w/ the female being on loan from Will. Hey yours pictured there would be a medium banded. Theere are the 3 basic widths but they vary in between thin to medium to ultra wide. Here is a thin banded male I just got from Will.

Thanks, Keith! That thin banded male is very pretty in his own right! As one would say in the old days: May you have many babies next spring!

The bands will probably turn whitish, look just like Frank the Tank.

That, my friend, is the kind of eastern I would save my pennies for. VERY nice!

mattcbiker Dec 07, 2005 01:31 AM

That's an awesome Eastern. That snake you sold John Lee is doing alright despite the fact he smokes two packs a day in his little bedroom that his snake sadly has to live with.

In general how well does this line feed? Are they supper aggresive, are they easily started on rodents do a fair number need scenting......?

Keith Hillson Dec 07, 2005 02:33 PM

Well Ive never produced any of my own but In talking with Will they arent that tough to get eating. Kevin Enge doesnt seem to have problemns with his either. I dont think he or Will has ever mentioned having to scent. Im sure they could answer to it better than I its just what info Ive gleaned from conversations with both.
