Can my female lay eggs without male fertilization? .

illphacen Jul 23, 2003 03:02 PM

She's only been gravid for a few days and I don't think they've mated but today she was sitting in the water dish and she never does that.

I was reading that some lizards lay unfertilized eggs that are all female.

They can lay eggs without being fertilized. Collareds can save sperm and can therefore lay fertilized eggs several times when mated only once.
But sitting in the water dish should have none to do with being gravid.
