What to do in summer

Tsebelis Dec 06, 2005 09:06 PM

I may be gone for 3-5 weeks this summer ( It is very unlikely that I will be gone for more than 3)and I don't know anyone who would look after a boa . Does anyone know how I could keep the boa alive without me being in the country ( A young boa, less than a year old? The only possible solution I can think of is to buy an adult boa, but that still leaves the problem of water.

THe snake would be either a tarahumara mountain boa or a hog island boa ( Maybe a sonoran desert boa)

The easiest solution I see, is waiting until you get back to purchase the animal since it doesn't sound like you already have it. If you find a solution to that problem before that time, then purchase the animal. Take care

I don't have it yet ( I can't get it till I find a solution to this problem) so waiting sounds like a good idea.

Are there any herpsitting services where you ship them your animal and they take care of it? If they exist at all, do any exist in the LA area?

Well, EVB has a service for 4 dollars a day they will look after a baby snake. A bit pricey but I will saze my money.
