Yes.... finally!!

Just thought I'd share, my extreme ate his first frozen thawed pinkies today. I was scared to be doomed with another "live only" eater. I don't plan on raising mice, luckily there is a pet store around me that still sells live. Petsmart and Petco will not sell live rodents or lizards as feeders, but hey they have a giant fish tank filled with "feeder goldfish" go figure!

How did you switch him over? I have a couple of hondurans that will only take live also.

You have such beautiful snakes I can symypathize with having to feed some live caught. I have several that I am having a hard time getting onto FT.

Well it was a very difficult task, first put him and the pinkies in a deli cup, then leave him alone and don't scare him for a half hour. J/K I do think there deffinetly is a difference in the way a small pinky smells verses a big pinky or fuzzy. Maybe it's something to do with there milk intake or freshness? He was taking live only for a few months I hope he keeps this up.

dawnrenee2000 Dec 07, 2005 02:47 PM

yes, that is the same way I am trying with my Speckled King which doenst want FT yet. has taken it once, though. So that leads me to beleive I can switch it over.

Thanks for the complement Dawn. Keep up the good work you should be able to.

Ah, I am going to try pinkies next time and see what happens. I have been giving live fuzzies followed immediately with a f/t fuzzie scented with the live one, but it has not worked yet (it has for other snakes though).

Thanks
Vinny

Yes smaller the better but you have to feed them more often!

That is one beautiful snake. What kind is it and do you mind saying how much you paid?

OOO'I'm sorry, Extreme Hypo Honduran with a 66% chance of being het anery. This means if he is het anery I will have a chance on producing extreme ghost along with producing very refined hypos. About the price I'll put it this way, I probably could have bought my own mountain in Honduras with thousands of honduran milksnakes living on it. HaHaHa

Extreme het anery, nice. Mind saying who produced her/him?

Cheers,
Vinny

It's an extreme hypo with a 66% chance het anery. The het anery still has to be proved out. It was bred my Mike Falcon!
Thanks,
