are WD colorblind?
Water dragons are not colored blind. Lizard retinas contain multicolored oil droplets in their photoreceptors this allows them to see colors The opsin proteins in the cones in their eyes can detect different wavelengths. Many lizards can see into the ultraviolet range, although I do not know if this applies to waterdragons, probably. Its beleive that mammals lost or did not develop color vision becuase they were nocturnal during the age of the dinosaurs. Mammalian color vision is therefore consider a more recent adaptation then that of the reptiles, so its probably a safe bet that your waterdragon see and precieves colors better then you do.
