Well my salmon has entered into a shed cycle and has been off the albino female for the first time in over 5 weeks. He had been courting her very heavily prior.

I noticed some defenite swelling a few weeks ago (pictures posted of that posted previously). It seemed to go down... now there seems to be swelling again. Again, not sure if this is ovulation or if she's gravid or what... still got my eye out for a POS though. She is now sitting curled up on the hot side.

Here's the male in shed... this is a flash shot (others were with no flash... just the flourescant lighting in the room).

Im gonna guess well on her way but not gravid yet. Im going through the same thing with one of my girls as we speak. I thought she may of already been gravid cause she swelled and sat like yours but then today I came home and shes stretched out with one of her sides bulging a bit. I cant tell if its just fat and the way shes laying or if its a small ovulation one side at a time type a deal. Im thinking ovulation cause I havent seen her stretch out in a while. But then again, maybe it was just pre-ov swell... and this current swelling is one side firing off. All I can say for sure is that stuff is going on! POS coming soon hopefully.

Yeah Im bettin your male will climb aboard after hes done shedding.. My male is all over my girl right now. Im excited about this one. Its nothing special but I love the male thats with this girl.. Hes just a pet shop boa I bought while picking up meal worms, I was told hes a farmed baby and he looks awsome in person. Whenever I show off my morphs and everything else I show him last and everybody ooohs and awhhss over him LOL.. All I know is Im keepin any and everything that looks like dad or better. He sorta looks like a non aberrant jungle in person.. Good luck Rich

Ronne beat ya x10 and bet me $100 shes gravid ... Win win situation for me, I cash in the bets if she ends up throwing nothing... If not I get babies, yeah!

I always get a kick out of watching those little spurs in action and marvel at how well they can use them. Best wishes for a beautiful litter!
