choices choices choices

Ok. I am about ready to buy the screen for Orion's cage, but I an having difficulty choosing something.
Big T suggested plastic coated 1/4" hardware cloth, and this is what I want. BUT, I have to special order it, and get a whole role, costing me about $200. So, I want to see if any other choices will work for me.
The wood is stained a very dark mahogany because I want something black for the screen. This makes plain galvanized hardware cloth a problem.
This lead me to think of black aluminum screen. Orion is female, and so I am thinking her toes will not be as big as a males. How common is catching toes in screen? Would a females nails be small enough to not get caught? If so, I am going with the screen. If there is a good chance she will hurt her toes, than I'm going to fork out the cash for the coated hardware cloth. Or, does anyone have any other alternatives?

Thankyou to everyone who helps! Sorry to jabber on, I just want her cage to be PERFECT!

Personnaly. I don't like dark screen. It makes it more difficult to see the animal inside. I've used both 1/2" hardware cloth and silver aluminum screen. Hardware cloth is nice, but not cricket tight. I switched to screen for my newer cages. I like to let my Chams hunt. They're more active now.
