you can use meat baby food, they seem to like turkey best, but I would not do that just yet. Has this little guy pooped yet? hatchlings will not eat until after their first shed, some times a few days even after that. I had one go nearly two weeks before he figured out that those scary hoppy things were food.

I strongly recommend continuing the mealworm method over giving baby food. Baby food is an absolute last resort, and if he will eat even one mealie, dont force him to see babyfood as sustenence. Insects really are much better, however you can get them in. How long has it been? Is his tail shrinking? It sounds like he may be too cold? I usually keep my hatchlings in higher temps and higher humidity than adults. Give him time, the world is new and scary lol

I've had no problem getting my hatchlings to eat crickets. How big are your crickets? The correct size for a hatchling is 1/4"-1/3" long crickets. If the crickets are too big, it may be scared of them, if they are too small like pinheads it may act like it doesn't even see them. I had no luck with pinhead size LOL All of mine love small superworms right away too, I never tried mealworms.
